SENIORS:
Game was played in near perfect conditions, to start with. Cuchulainns got off to the perfect start with Conor Daly opening the scoring with a goal within the first minute. Swanlinbar responded with 2 points from play from Gearoid McKeirnan in the following 4 mins. For the next 15 mins Cuchulainns outscored Swanlinbar 4 pts to 0, with both Evan Doughty and Brian Magee with 2 points each from play. After 27 mins Ryan Lennon was introduced at the expense of Conor Daly who had picked up a yellow card. In the last 3 mins of the first half both teams traded points, with 2 (both frees) from Gearoid McKiernan and 1 each from Brian Magee and Cian Doughty.
Half time score Cuchulainns 1-7 0-5 Swanlinbar
Second half breeze had picked up and it favoured the visitors. Swanlinbar opened the half with 3 points inside the first 5 mins, all from play, 2 points from their number 11 and 1 from their number 4. Brian Magee scored the next 2 points from open play, before Swanlinbar responded with 3 points from play, 2 from their star man McKeirnan, and 1 from their number 4. The turning point came in the 23rdminute with Cuchulainns up by 4 points (1-7 to 0-11) when Cian Doughty after a slick move involving Adrian Taite, Ryan Lennon and Evan Doughty found the back of the net. 26 mins in the second half number for 13 for Swanlinbar picked up a black card for dragging a Cuchulainns player down. Cian Doughty found himself involved for Cuchulainns 3rdgoal, on 27 mins, when he was fouled in the large rectangle and ref gave a penalty which older brother Evan coolly slotted into the bottom right hand corner. Last score of the game, came from Brian Magee with a pointed free.
Full time Cuchulainns 3-14 0-13 Swanlinbar.
U15 BOYS DIV 2 & 5
It was a week of mixed fortunes for the u15 boys. On Wednesday the lads travelled to Shercock and recorded a well deserved five point win. Despite the tough conditions the lads put in an excellent team performance throughout.
Unfortunately on Thursday the lads could not build on the result from Wednesday where we lost at home to a very strong Knock bride side again played in difficult conditions. The boys played bravely throughout.
ST KILIANS
Well done to St Kilian ladies who bet Shannon Gaels yesterday to win the 9 a side league.

We plan to commence work this Spring and have this pitch ready for action in the Summer of 2020.
