After playing into a gale force wind in the first half, Cuchulainns pushed on after the break to record a hard fought and important victory in Mullagh. Aimee Flanagan grabbed the all-important first half goal. A fine second half team performance saw the home team lead by 7 points before a late Lavey goal reduce the gap. An understrength St Kilian’s finished off their 9 a side campaign with a great performance in this re-arranged game in Mullagh. The home team trailed by a point at half time with Una Carolan scoring 2 superb points. St Kilian’s controlled the second half with Lauren Carpenter popping up with the crucial goal.
